Petite Sirah is a cross between Syrah and Peloursin (a nearly extinct French varietal). Itis an exceptionally rare varietal with less than 10,00 acres planted worldwide. Not only is this a rare wine in the world it also makes up less than 16% of all the grape varietals planted in Paso Robles. Petite Sirah was first planted in Paso Robles in the 1920’s. Cheers to 100 years of Paso Petite Sirah!
This wine is heavy-bodied, weighty, thick, inky, and chewy with opaque midnight violet, black hues. It's packed with health benefiting antioxidants.
Our Petite Sirah is deeply fruity, with intense aromas, and strong balance. It's rich in plum, blueberry and dark-berry fruit flavors. It also releases a heady mix of spices, allspice, cocoa, and clove.
Food Pairings: Petite Sirah pairs well with roast pork, BBQ, spicy bean or meat chili. Try with sweet and savory ribeye steak chili served with a side corn bread. Pair with Manchego, Swiss, Mozzarella, Gouda, medium or smoked Cheddar. Does not pair well with aged cheeses.
